My Brothers,

Receive fraternal greetings from the West. February has been a busy month for Eola, and March will be even busier. As you may know, Eola is holding a Master Mason degree on March 9, 2021. I hope you can come join us raise 5 brothers to the sublime degree of Master Mason. The degree will start at 6:00 p.m. I will have the distinct honor of presiding in the East. We’ve been hard at work practicing for the upcoming degree so we can give our brothers the degree they deserve. We have two more practices on Thursday, March 4 at 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday March 7, at 3:30 p.m. If you are available, come join us and help us prepare.

Eola is also hosting Masters and Wardens on Saturday March 6, 2021. Come join us for breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m. We plan of having a great breakfast, so come and enjoy it! If you haven’t been to Lodge in some time, I strongly encourage you to join us soon. Our brother, the Junior Warden has been doing a phenomenal job with masonic education, and giving us information for our edification as men and masons.

Eola will be holding a Fellow Craft degree in the third or fourth week in May. If you’d like to participate in the degree, please let me know as soon as possible. We will be practicing on Sundays at 3:30 p.m. as well as a few other days during the week. As you may have heard in the past, our ritual is what differences us from the “animals” and it is crucial that we practice our ritual and strive for perfection.

Brothers, we have had a great start to the year in attendance from our members and Brothers from across the state, country, and world. I would like to invite our membership and Brothers to continue to attend and visit our stated communications, as well as our called communications. This month (March) is going to present many opportunities to do so as we have a MM Degree scheduled for 3/9/2021. First section at 6:00 pm. Light refreshments at 7:00 pm. Second Section at 8:00 pm. This is a white jacket event.

Fellowship

For our first meeting in February, we had Chicken Florentine with mashed potatoes, and for desert we had cookies. Everyone was delighted and ate their fill. For our second meeting, we had pizza; cheese, meat lovers, white sauce with chicken, and beef and green peppers. If you have dietary restrictions, let us know so that I, as well as those assisting in the kitchen, will do our best to accommodate. Fellowship with us.

Education

For the month of February, Masonic Education was centered around the application of the Plumb, Square, and Level in our daily lives and the reminders that we can physically see that represents them. (Hint: Washington Monument, Liberty Bell). The plumb admonishes us to walk upright. Be a man of your word. Keep your head held high. The square teaches us to be virtuous. Measure the steps you take in all of your endeavors. You wouldn’t go on a road trip without a map, would you? (Unless the plan is to get lost). The level teaches us that we are all humans looking to better ourselves, therefore, we should treat everyone that we encounter as if they are another version of ourselves, lending a helping hand where we can.
