Greetings from the East,
Greetings Brothers,
There has been a lot of activity in and about the lodge this month with several projects completed and more underway to complete in September and through the end of the year. Our work parties have been very successful in maintaining the building as well as improvements on the grounds, this will be a continuing theme going forward.
Once Again Eola hosted a very successful adopt a precinct fundraiser for the Primary elections held on the 18th of August, we were fully staffed for the event and my thanks to W;. Glover for again serving as the Poll Clerk. Additionally we had a few new members to the crew this go around Br. Rocky Ruvola, and Br. Jose Franco, joined Rw:. Albright W:. Rudd, W:. Williams:. W:. Glover, Br. Eric Davila and myself to round out this all-star team bringing in some significant funds from the event. Please reach out to W:. Glover for the upcoming November 3rd General Election as we will be adding additional staff for that event.
September will be an extremely busy month with 2 stated communications and 2 degrees as well as several degree practices, and lots of projects to complete about the building and grounds.
Our first meeting of the month September 1st will be the launch of our newly adopted community outreach for first responders. It was fantastic to see this concept receive 100% of the crafts support at our last stated communication and we are looking forward to the program taking off and growing from there, so please come out and enjoy dinner as well as greet and welcome our first responders who serve on the front lines day in and out. We will have an EA return as well so come out and support these brothers.
September 8th at 7PM we will be holding an EA degree for our 2 newly approved candidates Contact Br. Rocky Ruvola if you would like to assist, and please come attend the degree to welcome them to the fraternity.
September 15th our second stated communication will be our Official DDGM Visit, so please come out and show our Proud 16thMasonic District Deputy Grand Master Walter H Ricks the cordial hospitality Eola Lodge is known for. W:. Judovits will be preparing the meal for the evening and it’s sure to be top notch as always.
September 22nd @ 7PM we are at it again! This evening we will be holding a FC degree for our advancing EA’s. Please Contact Br. Andy Jules if you would like to participate in this degree, or simply come support these brothers on their Journey!
September 29th @ 6:30 Pm the 16th District ME/MLT workshop will be hosted at Eola. W:. Michael Catello and W:. Jay Cebollero do a great job of coordinating this important event, and you never know whom they may have as a guest speaking or SME for the evening on a particular subject. Keep in mind although it is a requirement to go to the South… more importantly the event is for you! The principles taught work equally effective in “real life” so even if you have no immediate plans to get in the line the knowledge you gain by attending these and the other district events will only add to “Making a good Man a Better Man”.
So that pretty much covers all of the Tuesdays of the month but wait there is more!
Aside from practices we will be planning more work sessions so please feel free to reach out to an officer if you are willing and able to help with the many things we need to get done around the building.
With October heading our way we will have some guest speakers presenting, more masonic education opportunities, and potentially a fish fry TBD, we are still working on those logistics so more info will be coming in the October communication.
Thanks to all of the brothers who have been stepping up with the lodge projects donating their time and talents to improve and repair a countless list of items around the property. For those who haven’t been to the lodge for some time I encourage you to come and visit. IT’s a great time to get involved with all that is going on.
As Always Be safe and we will see you soon
Fraternally,
Br. Paul Rhoads

Greetings from the South,
My Brothers,
First and foremost, I want to thank W. Jim Judovits for his invaluable help and support while serving as the Junior Warden, words can simply not express my appreciation. I also want to thank the brothers who have served as Junior Wardens pro tempore, during the meetings I was unable to attend.
I was recently thinking about my father and his influence in my life. He was called upon the celestial lodge in 2015. Thinking about my father led me to reflect about my masonic journey, since my father, a master mason himself, introduced me to Freemasonry. As I was reflecting about Freemasonry, a few questions came to my mind.
- Why did I join Freemasonry?
- What did I seek when I started my masonic journey?
- Have I found what I sought?
These are important questions. We must be the change we are looking for in the world, and that includes our Lodge.
So I ask you my Brothers, especially if you have not been to Lodge in some time; have you found what yo were looking for when you joined Freemasonry?
If you have, I invite you to share your positive experiences with me. I would like to put them together and share it in my next article. I will be happy to redact names, if you so wish feel free to reach out at hxcarrera@yahoo.com.
If you have not, how can Eola Lodge help you materialize the change you want to see?
If you are reading this, it is time to come back to Lodge. We have many exciting improvements we want to share with you. Most importantly, your Brothers miss seeing you in Lodge.
Fraternally,
Br. H. Xavier Carrera
Junior Warden
