Greetings from the East,
Greeting Brothers,
I hope this message finds you all well. As many of you already know our current status of restrictions will remain in place until at least June 1, 2020. Additionally, the Grand Communication has also been canceled.
On a much more positive note, we have good news on the front of the wellbeing of our brothers and affiliates related to Eola. Virtually everyone to which I have the means to contact has been reporting they are in good health, coronavirus-free and are looking forward to when we can again assemble in-person.
We do have a couple of brothers who could use your prayers for various non covid-19 related health challenges at this time. Please keep the following brothers and their families in your prayers. W:. Val McLaughlin, W:. Pedro Arroyo, and R.W. Larry Williamson.
Speaking of prayers it is my hope that all of you had a pleasant Easter/Passover season and thank you all who attempted to join the bridge on Easter Sunday. Due to technical issues this did not work as intended however the payer was still delivered even if by email.
Thank you to our Senior Deacon who has been diligently instructing our newest EA’s and congratulations to them all on their diligence in studies in these most unconventional situations. Additional thanks to our mentors who have been counseling these new brothers and providing valuable insights to them.
Several brothers have indicated they are studying and honing various aspects of our ritual work it is encouraged that where practical we use this “free time” the majority now seem to have to perhaps learn more and further our individual Masonic Education.
Often un-sung but certainly an integral part of the lodge infrastructure our Treasurer and Secretary both deserve accolades for continuing to be diligent in their duties and keeping our credit in good standing by paying the bills. W;. Brumley, and Schwebel thank you for keeping on top of the day to day business of the lodge and executing your duties.
A final note of thanks to all of the Officers and Brothers of Eola lodge who continue to take my calls and lend advice, carry on with their duties, and keep in contact with each other not only showing our continuity in these unprecedented times but living up to the obligations well all took at one point or another in our Masonic careers.
In closing, be safe, vigilant and remember we are here for you.
Fraternally,
Br. Paul Rhoads
Worshipful Master
