Greetings from the West,
Brethren,
Eola’s 100th anniversary is fast approaching and we will like to have our lodge looking the best. If you see something that needs attention do not hesitate to let us know. We need to showcase Eola like it should. Show how proud we are of our home. Any recommendations will be taken into consideration. Any ideas that you have for the 100th anniversary will be taken into consideration as well. The GM will be in our rededication and we must look our best.
Thank you all for the support that you have given me and let’s make Eola proud.
Brother José Elías Franco Marrero

Greetings from the South,
Brethren,
I am excited to have had my first stated communication dinner under my belt and look forward to our 1st SC dinner February 7th. Our stewards and I are excited and prepared to make this a great meal for all the brothers and their guests who will be joining us for dinner as part of our “bring your ladies and family” to dinner. This sets the tone for how I will be planning meals each month, with the first meal having more options for our family/guests who will be attending followed by the 2nd meeting of the month which will have much simpler, but still delicious choices. As an example, for the last meeting of January we had a “build to order” sandwich sub station set up with chips, soda and fresh baked cookies wheras on the dinner scheduled for Feb 7th 2023, we will be having roasted chicken, potatoes, vegetables, salad and a light dessert of some kind.
As a general message for all that attend and that do not already know, we are also now able to accept credit card payments as part of the dining option for those brothers who do not carry cash. This allows us to fund the lodge kitchen and make sure that we are covering all expenses. As I am sure that everyone knows, the cost of food lately has been on the rise which is making it tough to cover the costs when our brothers and guests are dining for free. We hope that all brothers and guests who are enjoying the fellowship and the meal can contribute to the basket or pay via credit card. We are asking that all brothers who dine with us contribute a minimum of $10 each to help cover the costs associated with preparing the meals. We are hopeful that the new ability to pay via CC will help bring in additional funds which will not only make sure the kitchen at least “breaks even” but will also allow us to continue to have great meals to accompany our our fellowship time that we share at the lodge.
Fraternally yours,
Br. David Mole
